PrimeFaces is entering a new chapter: it stays fully open source and is now developed and maintained independently, while PrimeTek remains its financial sponsor. You can read the official announcement at primeui.dev/nextchapter.
Open Source & Releases
The previously commercial PrimeFaces LTS releases are now simply continued as open source, so everyone gets the ongoing bugfix and maintenance releases free of charge. All existing versions stay MIT licensed, and PrimeTek honors existing PrimeFaces PRO support contracts until they expire.
Commercial Support
PrimeTek no longer offers PrimeFaces PRO to new customers. Commercial support is now provided by the PrimeFaces project lead through neroe.org – the alternative to PrimeFaces PRO.
- Independent, ticket-based PrimeFaces support straight from the project lead.
- Consulting on Jakarta EE, runtimes and operations.
- Backports of fixes to older PrimeFaces versions.
- Fixes for PrimeFaces bugs go upstream, so the whole community benefits.
